Dear editor,

In light of the Province of Ontario's decision to implement a law prohibiting smoking in a motor vehicle with a child present.

As the father of a five-year-old daughter, and survivor of a "cancer" related medical issue, it is my hope that the Province of New Brunswick follows suit that is presently under consideration and applies the same standards by prohibiting this as well.

Being involved with many events each year to help those affected with smoke related medical issues, I see too often the possible outcomes of being exposed to second hand smoke. Children are our most vulnerable citizens, they are our future and we have a responsibility to protect them. I intend on doing all I can as an elected official to have the New Brunswick Provincial government follow suit.
